Further south, Eugene is a key Amtrak stop known for its proximity to the University of Oregon and a vibrant downtown scene. It’s served by both the Amtrak Cascades and Coast Starlight routes, connecting passengers to destinations as far north as Seattle or south toward Los Angeles. Klamath Falls, sitting near the California border, is a quieter station but an essential one. As a major stop on the Coast Starlight, it offers stunning views of mountains and lakes — particularly beautiful in winter. The station is also used by those heading to Crater Lake and southern Oregon’s natural wonders.
